Miami, 1991. When his bloodthirsty urges can no longer be ignored, young Dexter Morgan must learn to channel his inner darkness as he goes from student to avenging serial killer with the guidance of his father, Harry. Christian Slater is older than James Remar when Dexter (2006) first aired. In episode 4, the Blockbuster employee Deb and her friend meet wears a dark blue, short-sleeved shirt as part of her uniform. In 1991, employees wore light blue, long-sleeved shirts. Short sleeves weren’t worn until 4-5 years later. Followed by Dexter: Resurrection (2025). Dexter is easily one of my favorite TV shows of all time and one of the few shows I can watch from start to finish multiple times without getting bored. It’s hard for me to put into words how much I loved the original show. The only thing that’s not good is the ending. Even though the ending was pretty bad, that doesn’t take away from how great the show is overall. So, with that being said, I was really looking forward to Dexter: Original Sin and it did not disappoint. Patrick Gibson, who plays a young Dexter Morgan, is absolutely fantastic, as is the rest of the cast. It’s a must-see for any Dexter fan.
